Olivia’s
reading response of The Future of Us is full of voice that I agree with.
I like how I can link to the piece to understand the book, since I haven’t read
it. For example, the last sentence discusses how if Emma, the main character,
didn’t find the key to her future, she would never really change the things she
does because that’s not really the
person she is. Also, Olivia mentions how Emma is almost desperate for happiness
in the future, and I agree since she’s not enjoying the life she’s currently
living. To conclude, this reading response expresses opinion very well and has
motivated me to read this book.

Zozi’s
reading response of In the Time of Butterflys is very well written. I
liked this reading response not only for the content, but also because of the
fact that its very similar to the one I wrote. For example, both of the main
characters are from dictatorships in the Dominican Republic. The book In the
Time of Butterflies, it is an interview and I enjoyed seeing how flash
backs were mentioned. In both responses the response writers both connected
with the overall themes. In conclusion, the reading response conveyed the main
ideas well and was very similar to mine (in a good way!).
